AMAZON NEWS

FALL 2011
The summer of 2011 is over and now we are looking forward to our fall and Christmas trips. I know many of you are thanking God that you were able to go to the Amazon and be part of His amazing Kingdom work.
The lives of so many were impacted by you and those on your team. Joy and hope was shared and the people along the river have memories that will never fade. Many have a new life anchored in the love of Jesus Christ because you took the time to go and tell. You hugged them, you loved them, and you gave them the gift of your time.
I know many of you are astonished at how the Lord impacted your life while He was working through you to change others. You have heard many of us refer to the two ministries of Amazon Outreach. One in the villages and one on the boat….it’s true isn’t it? The ministry in the village is why we go so we can serve the people and tell them the wonderful story of Jesus Christ. The ministry on the boat is the one that we bring home with us and share with our family and friends. God changes us and uses us in new and exciting ways at home, at school, and at our work.
We catch ourselves daydreaming about our trip and the friends that we made while we traveled up and down the Amazon. We can feel the breeze and smell the food being prepared by the cooks on the boat. We reflect on our quiet time and remember the peace that God placed in our heart. We see the faces and replay the sounds in our mind that bring such precious memories.
Let’s go back! Let’s bring others! Check out the upcoming trips at the end of this year. Click on the 2012 schedule, pick a trip and pack your bag. We are working in about 300 of the 30,000 villages along the Amazon. We must keep going; until all have heard!
Blessings,
Jed
