Men
Ministering to the spiritual needs of the men of the Amazon Region is a great joy. Typically, we gather groups for Bible studies where we get to know the men of the village and share some of what we have learned about God.
The lessons taught in each village vary with the maturity of the Christians living there. If there are no Christians, this group time is perfect for building relationships, encouragement, and sharing the Gospel.
After introductions are made we often share our mutual concerns, teach a simple lesson, share a Bible passage, and ask how we can pray for their families and community. Usually the lessons taught in these studies relate to their lives as fishermen and hunters. Many teams bring fishing supplies such as lures, hooks, line and small knives for gifts at the end of the session.
