Women
Ministering to the spiritual needs of the women of the Amazon Region is a great joy. Typically, we gather groups for Bible studies where we get to know the women of the village and share some of what we have learned about God.
After introductions are made we often share our mutual concerns, teach a simple lesson, share a Bible passage, and ask how we can pray for their families and community. We also bring simple crafts for the ladies such as the “Footsteps” poem in Portuguese with a pretty border they can color. Many teams set up a Beauty Salon and offer manicures, pedicures, and hairstyling for the women. Massaging hands and feet and brushing hair are incredible ways to provide healing for the soul and demonstrate God’s love.
The lessons taught in each village vary with the maturity of the Christians living there. If there are no Christians, this group time is perfect for building relationships and sharing the Gospel.
